The Associate, Investor Relations will be responsible for supporting the Managing Director, Investor Relations on a variety of projects related to Investor Relations (IR) strategiesand willpartner on ongoing engagement with investors and analyst community.  The incumbent will use their strategic thinking abilities to enhance investor engagement and strategies for Canada’s Challenger Bank.  Further, the incumbent will be required to contribute insightful, outside-in thinking to enhance the market position of the Bank. The incumbent will be required to use their analytical abilities to provide qualitative and quantitative input on strategic initiatives and investor disclosures. 

 


Investor Relations
  • Work with the head of Investor Relations to shape and execute the Investor Relations strategy for Canada’s Challenger Bank. 
  • Deliver quarterly investor and analyst engagement: preparing for earnings calls, analyst coordination, investor marketing engagements. 
  • Create clear, concise investor marketing materials to communicate EQB’s strategy and value proposition to investors, tailored to the expanding investor audience of EQB. 
  • Plan Investor Days for Canada’s Challenger Bank to educate the market on strategy, management and product development. 
  • Participate in and draw conclusions from meetings with analysts, investors, and other external partners to augment conversation with key audiences. 
  • Manage external relationships and contacts for the CFO group; increase contact with new and existing investors. 
  • Understand the composition of EQB’s investor base, including institutional share owners, and share insights internally to inform ongoing investor engagement and expansion. 
  • Manage Equitable Bank’s Investor Relations website in partnership with external vendors. 
  • Follow trends in IR based to best manage stakeholder groups. 


Ad Hoc Support, Research and Analysis
  • Partner with the CFO, Strategy and Finance teams to support strategic initiatives and where required, in preparation of Board deliverables. 
  • Assist with onboarding and developing Leadership Development Associates. 


Let's Talk About You
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a fast-paced business environment, preferably in a financial services firm, equity research, investor relations. 
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university, preferably in business administration, commerce, economics, mathematics, or engineering. 
  • Possess solid business and financial acumen, as well as analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, and disseminate high-level concepts into details 
  • Ability to participate constructively in complex cross-functional projects given multiple competing priorities or perspectives 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple competing priorities. 
  • Is a self-starter and enjoys working independently on a day-to-day basis. 
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
