SEAL Coordinator - Bilingual Preferred

Summer Earn and Learn Worker in consultation with the local VR offices assist in providing services to students with disabilities. The sole focus of this position is to assist with summer orientations, wages, and monitor job sites. We help job seekers and career changers prepare for and advance in careers with a focus on sustainable, high-growth, high-demand industries. Our committed and well-trained workforce professionals deliver comprehensive workforce solutions at integrated career centers, sector-focused centers and community, and partner sites.

Job Description

  • Communicate with the employer, local Workforce Staff, the participant and local Vocational Rehabilitation staff regarding placements, schedules, and job duties
  • Responsible for completion of paperwork, and ensuring timesheets are submitted and reviewed for payment
  • Collect time sheets from the employer sites and may conduct worksite monitoring
  • The bulk of the role is data entry, working with the employers, and making sure timesheets are signed
  • Assist in the implementation of all programs and services to meet SEAL goals.
  • Assist in department administrative duties (i.e., phone calls to parents, making copies)
  • Always ensure the safety of participants 
  • Maintain Reports and update daily or as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience working with youth and at-risk youth preferred. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong data entry experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid drivers’ license, and current liability insurance as local travel is required (Travel expenses reimbursed at current govt. mileage rate)
  • Experience working with MS Office – Word and Excel

Additional Information

Must be able to work Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The pay rate for this position is: $25.00 per hour.

Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, and deskwork required; work primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although interacts one on one and in groups with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
