Environmental Health and Safety Summer Internship

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Health and Safety Summer Intern to join our team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the EHS field and contribute to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment at Eriez. This is a 12-week paid internship program. The intern will work closely with the EHS Specialist and the management team to support ongoing initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with environmental compliance projects, including documentation and reporting requirements
• Support projects update of lock-out/tag-out procedures for both the facilities ( Asbury / Wager)
• Gathering data on each machine's lockout points and review update of existing documentation or development of new procedures reviewed by EHS management.
• Support Eriez PPE programs, first -aid committee.
• Participate in safety audits and inspections
• Assist in the development of EHS policies and procedures
• Support initiatives to promote a safety culture within the organization
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the EHS team

• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
• Strong interest in environmental health and safety practices
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Prior experience or coursework related to environmental health and safety is a plus
