ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a Social & Content Assistant Manager who lives and breathes content creation and has a sharp pulse on the ever-evolving social and beauty landscape. You’re a highly creative and culturally in-tune storyteller who knows how to concept, capture, edit, and optimize content —while also thinking strategically about how that content ladders up to brand goals.
You’ll own the social content calendar and channel strategy end-to-end, ensuring a cohesive narrative across platforms that drives engagement, builds community, and supports broader marketing initiatives. In this role, you'll bring a content-first mindset to everything you do, blending creativity with insights to shape our social presence and grow our community in meaningful, measurable ways.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams including Design, Brand Marketing, Influencer, Paid Media, and PR/Comms, as well as external partners like freelance creators and photo/video production vendors. You’ll report to the Director of Global Brand Marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and execute the monthly content calendar across all organic social channels, balancing content creation (editorial messaging, video, and static asset direction) with strategic priorities such as product launches, Farmacybeauty.com initiatives, and broader brand campaigns.
- Lead content creation efforts for both organic and paid social. Collaborate with Marketing, Paid Media, and Creative to align on priorities and ensure social-first content supports larger brand and business goals.
- Create clear and actionable briefs for internal creative partners, communicating social-first content needs to bring ideas to life across formats and platforms.
- Manage relationships and briefing for external creators, ensuring they are aligned with Farmacy’s brand voice and objectives to produce compelling content for hero products, launches, and brand storytelling moments.
- Monitor and analyze social content performance, compiling weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to uncover insights, optimize content strategy, and inform future planning.
- Stay ahead of trends and emerging formats, identifying platform best practices and fresh content opportunities to elevate Farmacy’s organic and paid social presence.
- Minimum of 3 + years of professional experience in social media management or related marketing roles.
- Thorough understanding of social media best practices, platform algorithms, spotting trends + cultural moments, and tracking KPIs.
- Passion for beauty industry + obsession with social media.
- Outstanding communications skills (both written and verbal).
- Natural storyteller, comfortable on camera.
- Expert in Instagram, TikTok. Experience with Tribe Dynamics.
- Expert in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- Extremely detail-oriented, able to keep up with a diverse to-do list
- Outstanding time management skills. Able to juggle multiple priorities at once
- Able to commute to the NYC office minimum 2 days per week.
- Available for various weekend and evening events on a scheduled, ad hoc basis.
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship from employer. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
