About the role:

Fetch is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Onboarding Coordinator to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a seamless and positive experience as they join our organization. Reporting to the Director, Talent Management, you will play an integral part in the employee life cycle by managing new hire processing in UKG and driving efficiencies in our onboarding workflows.

This is a full-time, remote role suitable for entry to mid-career professionals. If you live near an office, hybrid is available, and travel may be required up to 10% per year. We are seeking someone passionate about process improvement, automation, and delivering exceptional service to our new team members.

Scope of responsibilities:

  • Process all new hire information in UKG, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and legal requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new hires, addressing questions and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to align on onboarding plans and ensure a seamless transition for their new employees.
  • Coordinate scheduling for all required onboarding sessions, including orientation and training programs, and provide support to ensure successful completion of onboarding training and tasks.
  • Occasionally lead training sessions for new employees as part of Fetch University, our internal learning and development program.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate onboarding processes in UKG and other tools, implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze and summarize feedback from onboarding satisfaction surveys, using insights to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain and organize onboarding documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Stay informed on best practices and employment regulations to ensure the onboarding process remains effective and compliant.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and hiring managers to provide a cohesive and positive onboarding experience, continuously refining processes.

Skills we believe you need for the position:

  • 2+ years of experience in onboarding, HR coordination, or a related administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and professional interactions with new hires and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS platforms, preferably UKG, with an interest in streamlining and automating processes.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate onboarding satisfaction survey data and propose actionable improvements.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and a “let’s” / “can do” attitude.
  • A passion for creating a positive and efficient onboarding experience for employees.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Familiarity with HR compliance requirements and best practices for onboarding processes.
  • Experience facilitating employee training sessions or similar group presentations.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies or automation tools to optimize workflows.
  • Understanding of employee engagement strategies and tools.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as HR, IT, and hiring managers.

Compensation: 

At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $70,000–$77,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
