You Report To: Associate Manager, Corporate Recruiting. Also a “dotted line” report to the Senior Manager, People Operations

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting hybrid work opportunity in our Sao Paulo office for a multifaceted recruiting professional to support our growing operation in Latin America. This talented bilingual (or trilingual) recruiter will directly impact the success of our Sao Paulo software engineering team. We seek a highly organized and people-oriented professional to become the cornerstone of our talent acquisition efforts in the Sao Paulo office and eventually call center roles in other Latin American geographies.
In addition to recruiting, this individual will get career growth managing human resource responsibilities such as welcoming and onboarding new hires, document collection, new hire orientation, training schedule, employee record maintenance, fielding point of contact Latin American employee/contractor inquiries, payroll information gathering, and compliance support.

What you will do:
Your responsibilities but are not limited to:
- Source candidates using all appropriate pipelines (Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, preferred local country career sites, etc.)
- Screen candidates for cultural fit, compensation expectations, educational requirements, skill sets, applicable experience, etc.
- Handle full-cycle recruitment efforts for our Engineering department and eventually call center operations in future Latin American geographies
- Schedule phone screens, on-site and virtual interviews
- Administer and manage background checks to new hires
- Administer and manage Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for onboarding new hires
- Write recruitment advertisements and work with hiring managers to draft job specifications
- Maintain the company’s internal applicant tracking system with accurate data input and make recommendations on how to build and manage the platform for reporting purposes
- Review First Help Financial’s recruiting process, recommend improvements and modify processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness with an eye to local market preferences and hiring practices
- Consult and advise hiring managers on best hiring practices and recruiting methodologies for specific Latin American markets
- Use creative and resourceful candidate sourcing strategies to engage active and passive candidate pools
- Work with People Operations management to make sure all staffing needs are met within time frames and candidate quality expectations
- Foster and develop a culture of mutual respect, understanding, and teamwork
- Assist with other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Lead
- Assist with new hire onboarding (schedules, hardware provisioning, document collection, new hire orientations, workstations, access cards, etc.)
- Assisting with company socials, local office event planning, etc.
- Assist with offboarding (exit interviews, collection of company property, and processing final paperwork)
- Work closely with the payroll and benefits administrator
- Assist with compliance tasks, helping maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to national labor laws
- Serve as a first point of contact for Latin American employee inquiries and concerns when possible and escalating more complex employee relations issues to HR leadership
- Provide guidance to leadership on cultural and custom sensitivities related to talent acquisition and human resource essentials
What you bring:
- 5+ years’ of recruiting in the Brazil software engineering/tech industry. Experience recruiting in other Latin American markets is also preferred.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (speak, read, and write) and comfort with Spanish is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Demonstrates historical career stability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a great deal of multi-tasking and time prioritization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and technology savvy
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Metric reporting
- General applicant tracking system knowledge - front and back end
- General HRIS knowledge
- Ability to perform and adapt in a dynamic work environment where you may be required to bring structure and process to ambiguity due to this role being a newly created role
