Job Summary:

Will be responsible for assessing, maintaining, repairing, and communicating the status of various types of equipment. Must have a working knowledge of small engines (Kohler, Briggs and Stratton, Honda, etc.) and be capable of maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairs. Should have some basic knowledge of circuitry and wiring (breakers, fuses, etc.). Some knowledge and familiarity with hydraulic systems is preferred, but not required. Will be working independently at times, also will occasionally travel to various job sites for field repair with a potential for staying overnight. Will be responsible for reporting to the Facilities Manager and assisting with ordering parts and supplies. Forklift experience and knowledge is preferred, but not required. 

What We are Seeking

•Small Engine Mechanics experience of 3-5 years minimum

• Ensure all tools and small engine equipment are kept in a safe working condition

•Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as compressors, generators, rebuilding pump machine, hydraulic hoses, glue machines etc.

•Perform scheduled & routine maintenance service on equipment

•Order necessary parts for repairs and keep all paper work current.

•Use various hand tools and mechanical equipment

•85% Shop, 15% Field

•Strong problem-solving skills

•Strong communication and organizational skills

•Team player with a proactive, safety-oriented mind set and ok working in all different heights

•Troubleshoot issues on equipment to determine necessary repairs.

•Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.

•Must be able to safely drive forklift or can learn safe forklift driving skills.

•Basic computer skills.
