Vehicle Logistics Manager

We’re seeking a Logistics Manager to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Head of Sales Operations, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing finished vehicle logistics on behalf of the business with our logistics partners globally.  

This is a unique opportunity to build out Logistics processes for a luxury OEM from scratch, with the responsibility of leading a dedicated Logistics team in the long term as our business continues to scale. 

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity from our planned Bicester location and our office in Leamington Spa. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

What you’ll do 

• Support on the tender and appointment of a global partner for Finished Vehicle Logistics. 

• Coordinate and manage relationships with logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of vehicles. 

• Develop and implement strategies with partners to optimise logistics efficiency and reduce costs. 

• Lead a central team of Logistics team members in the long term, being responsible for recruiting and growing a team in the lead up to, and once operations are live. 

• Collaborate with partners to monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. 

• Analyse and present data regularly based on partner performance that can be presented back to key stakeholders. 

• Lead on the implementation of remote test drive programmes in conjunction with in-market partners. 

• Resolve any logistics-related issues or discrepancies with partners in a timely manner. 

• Provide clear communications to partners to ensure efficient storage, transport solutions, and on-time parts delivery for customers. 

• Oversee supplier performance in global logistics and delivery of components to retailers, individual customer locations, and mobile support vehicles. 

• Oversee the planning, handling, and inspection of cars for Forseven events in collaboration with partners. 

• Ensure partners comply with all relevant regulations and standards. 

• Manage the collection and storage of vehicles post-event through supplier coordination. 

Who you are 

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 

• Proven experience Finished Vehicle Logistics  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 

• Proficient in logistics software and tools. 

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards. 

• Strong organisational and time management skills.
