Compliance Business Support Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Business Support Manager tolead on the operational delivery of a high performing compliance business support function to housing and communal assets. Lead on the operational delivery of mechanical & electrical business support function to housing and communal assets. Lead/manage a team of specialist staff and assist the Compliance Manager in the development of strategy and its operational implementation.

Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Today, we own and manage around 7,000 homes across West Norfolk, making a difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles. We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team. Over the last 14 years, there have been numerous achievements, not least delivering our tenants’ promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

  • Lead on the operational delivery of the compliance and M&E business support functions across FCHs housing and communal assets
  • Oversee the production of work orders and purchase orders and the processing of invoices
  • Monitor works orders, including ensuring targets are complied with, variations have been approved, and invoices received and processed
  • Oversee no access process to ensure procedural compliance, including liaison with tenants regarding access arrangements and their access responsibilities
  • Production of Compliance KPIs and reports to provide business assurance and ensure operational requirements are met.
  • Assist in “horizon scanning “and the development of service plans to ensure the service meets current and future statutory, regulatory and best practice requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of managing a business support service area within a highly regulated environment
  • Significant experience in producing and monitoring operational and assurance Key Performance Information (KPIs)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and best practice requirements in relation to asset compliance, health & safety and mechanical and electrical works
  • Demonstrable knowledge in the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of technical data
  • Able to lead a specialist team and deliver an excellent service in a high pressure and highly regulated service area
  • Experience in analysing compliance data and making recommendations / implementing improvements
  • £41,477 per annum
  • Full time of 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday
