We are seeking an experience Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across multiple states. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations multi-state compliance, and payroll systems. This role requires attention to detail, leadership skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee and direct payroll procedures, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll cycles.
- Handle multi-state tax registrations, reconciliations, and compliance reporting, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Supervise and coach the payroll team, providing leadership and support for efficient payroll operations.
- Develop systems to process payroll account transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments.
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems, ensuring integration and functionality.
- Oversee processing of payroll changes, such as new hires, terminations, raises, and system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws across multiple states, company policies, and payroll best practices.
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Maintain strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, wage regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ADP payroll software or similar platforms for payroll management and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to streamline payroll processes and reporting.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare reports for internal and external use.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly, ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Stay up to date with payroll law changes and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.
- 5+ years of payroll management experience, including multi-state payroll processing.
- Proficiency in payroll software, preferably ADP or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and wage regulations across multiple states.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage payroll teams and collaborate across departments.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to handle payroll discrepancies and audits.
- Certified Payroll Professional certification. (Not Mandatory but a Plus)
