    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced PlayStation Compliance QA Specialist to join our Compliance QA Team.

    You’ll be reporting to the PlayStation Compliance QA Lead and Compliance QA Manager, and you’ll be responsible for supporting them and the team in various aspects, including making sure our games pass the submissions without issues, staying updated on the latest platform-related and industry best practices, providing advice to our Development Teams on implementations, facilitating information and mentorship to Compliance QA Testers, reviewing bugs, developing and implementing new platform-related operational and growth ideas.

    You’ll be working with various Stakeholders, such as Game Producers, Game Managers, Game Developers, Release and Operations Managers, other QA specializations, QA Project Managers, QA Leads, etc… and ultimately engage with your Lead and take the best decisions for providing a top-notch Compliance QA Service.

    You’ll apply an Entrepreneurial mindset to identify problems and/or opportunities by yourself, developing plans to address them, getting the buy in from Stakeholders and decisional factors, ultimately behaving as an internal subject matter expert for your platform.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure test coverage before each release (full submissions, patches, DLCs, IAPs, etc.) – both by hands-on testing and coordinating QA Testers in your team
    • Identify all bugs which can fail the submission before the Sony review
    • Communicate actively with all Development Teams and Stakeholders on topics of interest (critical bugs, submission blockers, design issues, bottlenecks, etc.)
    • Ensure Development Teams are aware of and adhere to Compliance standards
    • Ensure proper tracking of platform KPIs as agreed with your QA Lead
    • Send timely reports on your and your team’s activity
    • Identify areas for improvement within QA workflows
    • Stay updated on platform-specific Compliance trends and emerging QA technologies, advocating for them internally and supporting their integration
    • Drive or support best practice implementations inside your team
    • Stay updated on platform-specific data to make or support informed decisions
    • Escalate identified risks to your QA Lead and QA Manager and follow up on their mitigation

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years’ hands-on experience in PlayStation Compliance QA
    • Expert Compliance knowhow in Sony PlayStation platform and processes
    • Advanced knowhow of the entire Sony Submission pipeline – including the actual submission process, writing waivers or direct interaction with platform contacts
    • Bonus points for Compliance-oriented exposure to other gaming platforms and industry specific standards (Nintendo, Microsoft, Steam, Apple (Arcade), Google, Netflix, etc.)
    • Worked on and/or shipped 3+ major PlayStation titles
    • Actively worked with 3+ Development Teams simultaneously
    • Bonus points for knowhow of Automation/AI integration in Compliance flows
    • Good overall understanding of Gaming Production & Delivery pipelines
    • Expertise in testing methodologies, processes, technologies, best practices, tools
    • Emerging leadership and team-building abilities
    • Client orientation, with a focus on solving Compliance and Certification needs
    • Analytical mindset, proactively interpreting complex data to prevent blockers
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Self-motivated, positive attitude, growth mindset, solution oriented
