The role: Summer 2025 Internship (Corporate Development and Commercial)  

Are you a rising junior in college with a passion for sports technology and business development? Do you want to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of corporate strategy, commercial operations, and cutting-edge innovation?  

Join our Corporate Development & Commercial Summer Intern Program at Genius, where you will play a key role in supporting our fast-growing, publicly listed company within the sports tech ecosystem. 

Program Overview: 

The Corporate Development & Commercial Summer Intern Program is a 10-week rotational internship designed to provide a comprehensive and immersive experience across two critical teams: Corporate Development and Commercial. You will work closely with senior leaders, engage in strategic projects, and gain exposure to a broad range of business operations in a high-growth environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Corporate Development Team: 

• Participate in the strategic operations of a publicly listed company, including work with investment bankers, investors, sell-side analysts, lawyers, and senior company leadership. 

• Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to help inform the company's go-to-market strategy and broader investment initiatives. 

• Prepare detailed company overviews and reports related to relevant peers, customers, competitors, suppliers, and potential acquisition targets. 

• Contribute to ongoing corporate development projects and strategic initiatives. 
  
  

Commercial Team: 

• Assist in the end-to-end sales process, supporting the development of a customer pipeline, identifying potential clients, and participating in Requests for Proposals (RFPs). 

• Help manage customer relationships, ensuring clients receive timely and comprehensive support and information. 

• Support the sales team in developing strategies for product and service offerings across various markets. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. 
  
  

Intern Project: 

• Complete a capstone intern project that will be presented to senior management at the end of the program. This project will have real implementation implications for the company, offering you a chance to make a tangible impact on our business. 
  
  

Qualifications: 

• Rising college junior (currently enrolled in a bachelor's program). 

• Strong interest in corporate development, commercial strategy, sports or technology, with no previous experience required. 

• Excellent analytical and research skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights. 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

• Self-starter with an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM tools or business intelligence platforms is a plus.
