Senior Associate, Program Implementation

The Senior Associate, Program Implementation will report to the Senior Manager, Program Implementation, and work closely with the Programs Department, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and Tech teams to ensure the smooth running of programs. A strong candidate will have experience in public speaking, and project management, an interest in people management, and a passion to further Girls Who Code’s mission to empower young women and non-binary students to pursue Computer Science.


This role is classified as non-exempt, paid hourly, and overtime eligible.

This role is NY-based and requires 2 in-office days per week, per our hybrid work policy.


Responsibilities:
  • Event Logistics
  • Maintain all event materials including slide decks, scripts, run of show, and follow-up FAQ summaries for monthly Launch Your Club webinars, ensuring they reflect current platform and curriculum updates
  • Schedule, publicize, and incentivize attendance for events; build registration pages, and email campaigns, include on HQ and other platform calendars
  • Moderate and provide technical support for live training webinars and other events as needed
  • Organize virtual visits and observations of our Clubs for interested GWC staff members

  • Communications Strategy and Production
  • Create proactive and just-in-time communication campaigns disseminated by Campaign Monitor announcing upcoming events, incentive programs, and feedback opportunities
  • Define and maintain audience segmentation strategy on Campaign Monitor to increase response to targeted communications and reduce unsubscribes
  • Provide quick and effective responses to inbound communications from Club Facilitators across a variety of platforms
  • Coordinate communication calendars and resources for Inbound Support, Program Implementation Specialists, Community Partnerships & Outreach, and other teams as needed
  • Provide ad hoc support for community activation and other engagements as needed
  • Ensure training content for Facilitators is up to date and reflects current platform and curriculum updates
  • Update and disseminate Program Implementation resources on Girls Who Code HQ as necessary

  • Fulfillment and Inventory
  • Conduct vendor review and system selection for the annual Club Fund incentive
  • Facilitate technical implementation of the incentive program, including automated volunteer notification, the review process, and purchasing
  • Purchase and document all fulfilled wishlist materials in compliance with annual finance audit needs
  • Monitor and restock inventory of merchandise used for giveaways
  • Collaborate with our in-house designer to create digital materials for use in online giveaways
  • Serve as the organizational point of contact with our merchandise vendor, Kotis; coordinate the internal working group of all Girls Who Code stakeholders with Kotis relationships

  • Data Review and Project Management
  • Create reports, dashboards, and other tools to effectively collect feedback from community members and measure progress toward team and organizational goals
  • Serve as team SCRUM manager and maintain timelines Collaborate with Managers to develop project plans, debrief documents, and other materials related to Clubs projects
  • Support the Sr. Manager in the tracking and evaluation of volunteer satisfaction and likelihood of return; collaborate with Outreach, Operations, and Curriculum teams to share feedback from Facilitators
  • Maintain a directory of top-performing Clubs to highlight on external and internal platforms


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Successful track record in setting, communicating, and maintaining timelines and priorities on cross-functional projects
  • Able to implement a communication strategy with an emphasis on creating high-quality, timely messages
  • Ability to create materials and execute programs that instill volunteer confidence and competence
  • Knowledge of computer science education space
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to balance priorities and work with a variety of internal and external partners
  • Willingness to pitch in, problem-solve, and identify areas of improvement across the organization
  • Flexibility & ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing requirements
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, maturity, and confidence

$25.48 - $35.10 an hour

The wage range for this role takes into account the many  factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 

At Girls Who Code, our compensation philosophy is to hire at or near the midpoint of a range and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum for the role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
