Job Description: Front Desk Virtual Assistant (Spanish-Speaking Insurance Verifier)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Front Desk Virtual Assistant with experience in insurance verification and proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Practice Fusion. This remote role requires exceptional organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality. Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate information is recorded in Practice Fusion.
- Patient Scheduling: Coordinate and manage appointments, ensuring optimal scheduling to meet patient and clinic needs.
- EMR Management: Maintain and update patient records in Practice Fusion, including insurance details and documentation.
- Customer Support: Provide excellent support to patients via phone and email, addressing inquiries in both English and Spanish.
- Communication with Insurance Providers: Contact insurance companies to confirm benefits, resolve discrepancies, and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general front desk duties, including managing correspondence and ensuring data accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience: Proven experience in insurance verification, preferably in a medical setting, and proficiency with Practice Fusion or similar EMR systems.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with healthcare billing and coding terminologies is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and handling sensitive patient information with discretion.
- Remote Work Skills: Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively in a virtual setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of healthcare procedures and workflows.
- Experience in a remote/front desk role within a medical clinic.
