ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

GolfSuites™ is seeking an Assistant Director of Operations at our Baton Rouge, La location. GolfSuites™ mission is to provide a fun, all-Inclusive, engaging, and authentic golf-centric entertainment venue focused on ultimate hospitality and game improvement. The Assistant Director of Operations supports the Director of Operations in planning, directing, and coordinating venue operations across all departments to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly. The Assistant Director of Operations works alongside with, trains and coaches GolfSuites’s leaders to provide best-in-class service and hospitality while delivering fun with passion to our Guests. The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for all business functions, including executing daily operational activities, building a strong team through effective hiring, scheduling, Team Partner development and team engagement, implementing and upholding processes and standards, ensuring quality food preparation, maximizing financial performance, building relationships with their community, and growing the GolfSuites brand.

  • Coach and guide Department Managers and their Team Partners in providing best-in-class service and hospitality
  • Plan, direct and coordinate day-to-day venue operations
  • Interact with Guests to ensure positive guest service in all areas
  • Coach and develop department leaders and Team Partners
  • Delegate and follow-up on the completion of tasks
  • Drive Team Partner engagement
  • Forecast and manage sales and expenses
  • Leverage business metrics and trends to drive performance and to maximize profit and revenue
  • Enforce compliance with food handling standards and ensure consistent high quality food preparation
  • Uphold operating standards and drive Guest and team safety and satisfaction
  • Cultivate relationships with community leaders and organizations to ensure strong connections

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years as an Assistant Director of Operations or Director of Operations in a high volume ($5M+ annual revenue) restaurant, hotel, or golf environment with experience running BOH and FOH operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with managing PNL, financial statements, sales and activity reports, and performance data, to measure productivity and goal achievement.
  • Excellent communication, time management, collaboration, and organization skills
  • High energy and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods including maneuvering up and down stairs
  • Ability to obtain required licenses and certifications for your location
  • Willingness to relocate, if necessary
  • Weekends and Nights are required!
