Mentor and Alumni Program Manager

Mentor and Alumni Program Manager

at HealthCorps

Remote

Are you interested in serving communities around the country and empowering the next generation of healthy leaders? HealthCorps and our mission to improve the lives of youth both mentally and physically provides you the opportunity to do just that.

Who We Are

We’re HealthCorps – a national non-profit organization committed to improving lives by addressing health inequities in communities through programming that includes innovative and engaging experiences for teens in education, leadership, and service learning. We empower teens by encouraging them to become change agents within their families, schools, and neighborhoods. Our program is grounded in the understanding that limited access to health education can lead to a lifetime of social, emotional, and physical challenges.

Our values drive the work we do here at HealthCorps; we’re mission obsessed, have an entrepreneurial mindset, value that our people are our power, know that teamwork makes the dream work and believe that there is empowerment in diversity, both within our teams as well as the communities we serve.

Where You Fit In

We are seeking a creative and engaging self-starter to enhance the growth and opportunities for our corps of near-peer college mentors – both during their service with HealthCorps and as they transition to alumni. Our near-peer college mentors serve with HealthCorps to lead Teens Make Health Happen Clubs in middle and high schools, gaining hands-on experience in public health and youth leadership.

As the Mentor and Alumni Program Manager, you will collaborate with a team to develop innovative and creative ideas that enhance the mentor learning program and experience. You will work directly with our Regional Program Managers and college mentors to improve and tailor our mentorship program offerings, ultimately supporting the impact of the Teens Make Health Happen Program and creating a best-in-class internship/mentorship program.

This role will involve identifying and building relationships with external partners, including universities, experts in the fields of public health, youth and work force development, and medicine, as well as HealthCorps’ Board of Advisors and Directors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how to develop and engage with young professionals through an alumni network. This role requires someone who excels in driving initiatives and creating resources, with the goal of rolling out opportunities on both local and national levels to support alumni connection, collaboration and career development.
