Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Architect, develop, and optimize scalable solutions using Google Cloud Platform services (or equivalent platforms like AWS), including Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, GKE (Kubernetes), and autoscaling mechanisms.
3. Drive frontend development initiatives using Vue or React, with a focus on performance optimization and, if applicable, module federation.
4. Design and optimize database structures and queries, focusing on MongoDB and Firestore, to ensure high performance and scalability.
5. Build and scale platform infrastructure in dynamic, fast-paced environments, ensuring reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
7. Solve complex technical problems, especially under pressure, with a methodical and analytical approach.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, integrating them into the team's workflows and architectures.
Must-Have Skills
1. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
2. Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services (or equivalent), including hands-on experience with Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Kubernetes (GKE), and autoscaling strategies.
3. Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like Vue or React, with a deep understanding of frontend optimization techniques; knowledge of module federation is a plus.
4. Advanced knowledge of databases, particularly MongoDB and Firestore, with proven experience in performance optimization.
5. Demonstrated success in building and scaling platform infrastructure in high-growth or fast-paced environments.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
7. Comprehensive understanding of system architecture and cloud practices.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.
