Summary: We’re looking for a passionate and driven Product Development Manager – Complexion & Skincare to join Huda Beauty. In this role, you’ll report to the Director of Product Development and collaborate closely with the Founder, playing a key role in shaping our Complexion & Skincare categories. As part of the Product Development team, your responsibilities will include product research, concept presentations, product testing, color matching, and project management, alongside providing general team support and administrative assistance.
The ideal candidate is deeply passionate about the beauty industry, with a strong appreciation for textures and formulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay ahead of key beauty trends and translate them into compelling product concepts.
- Track new ingredients, claims, and innovations to support fresh product ideas.
- Drive the Product Development (PD) calendar by proposing innovative complexion and skincare products.
- Passion for textures, shade matching, and undertones to create high-performance formulations.
- Analyze new technologies and textures from suppliers to develop formulas that enhance and complement the existing portfolio.
- Create detailed and structured product briefs, incorporating innovative ingredients and targeted claims.
- Conduct internal product evaluations, assessing texture, performance, scent, and shade matching, and present findings to the team.
- Provide suppliers with clear direction on texture and shade adjustments, ensuring all submissions meet desired attributes through continuous feedback and iteration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers.
- Lead and mentor a junior team member, fostering growth and development.
- Work closely with the PD Operations, Product, and Brand Marketing teams to bring ideas from concept to execution.
- Oversee the end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) process, ensuring alignment at every stage and mitigating risks through clear communication and action plans.
- Collaborate with Packaging & Design teams to develop industry-leading packaging and designs with both consumer appeal and expert insight.
- Ensure attention to detail in artwork review processes, identifying and correcting potential issues in collaboration with Design and Regulatory teams.
- Work closely with the Regulatory Lead & Marketing team to define and validate claims through proper testing.
- Provide all necessary artwork information (INCI, claim results, translations, etc.) for packaging in alignment with artwork deadlines.
- Attend weekly product testing and approval meetings with the Founder, alongside the Director of PD and wider team.
- Approve lab standards and dispatch standards, ensuring consistency across relevant teams.
- Travel as needed to meet suppliers, approve formulas on-site, and conduct trend research.
Requirements:

- A flexible and adaptable team player, highly aware of team dynamics and open to quick change.
- Passionate about the beauty industry, with knowledge of key brands, products, bloggers, and influencers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the beauty industry, specifically in complexion development.
- Skincare experience is a plus but not required.
- Makeup artistry experience (e.g., makeup assistant or retail floor) is beneficial but not essential.
