Program Coordinator – IDEO U

IDEO is in search of a Program Coordinator who will partner with the IDEO U team to help support and expand IDEO U’s global teaching network, ensuring smooth operations, engagement, and program development.
In a Nutshell:
The Program Coordinator will support managing and expanding IDEO U’s global teaching team, ensuring high-quality course facilitation, and innovating engagement strategies for the team.
We are especially excited to meet candidates with a strong program management, learning & development, or community-building background. This role will work closely with IDEO U leadership, facilitation teams, external learning partners, and IDEO’s global community of learners.
While this role is remote-first eligible, this hire is welcome to use IDEO studio facilities in any one of our North America Studio Hubs (San Francisco, Chicago, Cambridge, MA). IDEO proudly supports flexible work.
Once Here, You Will:
Teaching Team Management
- Lead the process of recruiting, training, and onboarding team members across the global facilitation team.
- Provide ongoing support, development, and relationship-building with Teaching Assistants and Teaching Team Leads.
- Innovate and implement engagement strategies based on learner needs and feedback.
- Manage the offboarding process for instructors who do not meet IDEO U’s standards.
Program Coordination & Community Engagement
- Support the health of the facilitation network, ensuring growth, retention, and development.
- Support and coordinate live programs and events
- Partner with the IDEO U Product team to create optimal conditions for facilitation teams to thrive.
- Develop and maintain team communication systems and best practices.
- Create moments of celebration and engagement to strengthen the IDEO U facilitation community.
Growth & Innovation
- Implement strategies to expand IDEO U facilitation programs by identifying new engagement opportunities.
- Innovate on engagement strategies to increase retention and improve program delivery.
- Support IDEO U in shaping new learning experiences and programs aligned with its mission.
Program Tracking & Reporting
- Manage and maintain accurate program tracking and reporting for instructor engagement and learning experiences.
- Provide regular reports on program progress, challenges, and achievements to IDEO U leadership.
Operations & Systems Management
- Maintain and optimize knowledge management systems (e.g., Google Drive, Airtable, Figjam) for team efficiency.
- Ensure that tools, databases, and learning materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding of team members, partners, and vendors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in community building, customer service, project management, event planning, or program development.
- Passion for learning & development and designing engaging experiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Experience in relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
- High emotional intelligence to steer teams in a positive, collaborative direction.
Salary & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $55 - 85k USD, based on skills, industry knowledge, and experience. Final offers may vary based on geography, candidate expertise, and other factors.
