Chief of Staff

In The Pocket is seeking a Chief of Staff to join the leadership team. This role reports into the CEO and requires the combination of  excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and the ability to think and act on a strategic level. 

Our  ideal candidate has between  3-5 years of professional experience, a passion for digital technology, and strong organizational and communication skills. 

You’ll work with the In The Pocket executive team to manage shareholder relations, optimize operations and drive strategic initiatives, and ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration.

From strategic decision-making to minute operational details, the chief of staff role combines comprehensive vision with a detail-oriented approach.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic & Operational Support:
    • Act as the right hand of the CEO, providing advice, support, and insight on strategic decisions.
    • Participate in leadership meetings, set agendas, prepare slides and reporting, track deliverables, and ensure follow-through on key initiatives.
    • Continuously challenge the CEO about his focus, impact and ideas by being a strong sounding board.
  • Project Management & Coordination:
    • Lead cross-functional projects that align with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring projects have their desired impact.
  • Legal co-ordination:
    • Ensure the proper legal support for various situations in different departments by selecting legal partners and serving as their SPOC.
  • Co-ordinate Management Operations:
    • Plan and prepare all recurring management meetings.
    • Prepare reporting to the board, and oversee all reporting towards the management team.
  • All-hands and Quarterly meetings
    • Script and direct the monthly All-hands meetings, as well as the Quarterlies by determining the themes, gathering topics from stakeholders and working with the core teams to make the meetings engaging, actionable and insightful for the ITP’ers. 
  • Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitors, compliance & regulation and potential business opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
    • Develop data-driven reports and analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as a liaison between the CEO and key internal or external stakeholders, ensuring a consistent flow of information.
    • Represent the CEO in selected internal and external meetings or events as needed.
    • Manage relationships with shareholders and the Board of Directors.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability across the organization.
    • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, providing ongoing updates to leadership and suggesting course corrections as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Work Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in a consulting, strategic planning, or business management role—ideally within the tech or digital industry.
  • Technical Familiarity:
    • Strong interest in and understanding of digital technology, software development, and emerging tech trends.
  • Communication & Research:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, concise manner.
    • Proven experience conducting market research, analyzing data, and translating insights into tangible outcomes.
  • Organizational & Analytical Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining impeccable attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a knack for quickly identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires adaptability and continuous learning.
