We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Press Officer to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Marketing and PR team at INEOS Automotive. 

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic media relations campaigns that elevate the visibility of the INEOS Automotive brand and product lineup and drive positive public perception in the US and Canada. 

You will work closely with the marketing, media, and leadership teams here and in the UK to shape and tell our compelling brand story, and positively position INEOS Automotive vehicles in the minds of new car shoppers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies aligned with INEOS Automotive objectives and product launches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key automotive, lifestyle, and business journalists.
  • Secure positive media coverage in top-tier publications, broadcast outlets, and online platforms.
  • Draft press releases, media advisories, and other media materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and analyze its impact.
  • Proactively identify and respond to media inquiries.
  • Day to day management of the USMCA PR agency, ensuring they deliver on brief / track output.
  • Create and run a press fleet loan strategy, to ensure full utilization of the fleet.
  • Manage media requests and coordinate interviews with company executives and spokespeople.
  • Track media mentions and analyze media sentiment.
  • Develop and maintain media lists and databases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and media landscape.
  • Contribute to the development of crisis communication plans.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships with media and industry influencers.
  • Product placement and branded integrations activation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience in public relations or media relations, with a strong focus on automotive.
  • Proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage in major publications (automotive, lifestyle). 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Ability to collaborate and manage agency partners. 
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with media monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Creative thinker and storyteller.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment; franchise brands.
  • Experience with social media and digital marketing.
