What does the role entail?
As the Creative Director, you will be pivotal in shaping and driving our creative strategy to engage and inspire software engineers. Your goal will be to elevate the Interview Kickstart brand and fuel our growth through compelling, data-driven campaigns across multiple digital channels such as YouTube, Google, Meta, Email, WhatsApp and website. You will lead a talented creative team, including copywriters, graphic designers, video editors, and content writers, ensuring high-quality execution of content that resonates with our audience.
- Creative Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute the overarching creative strategy for Interview Kickstart across all marketing channels (YouTube, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Email, WhatsApp, Website, and App). Lead creative brainstorming sessions to innovate and refine the brand’s creative direction continuously.
- Campaign Development & Execution: Conceptualize and oversee end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring that messaging, tone, and creative assets align with Interview Kickstart’s core values and goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of talented copywriters, graphic designers, video editors, and content writers. Foster a creative environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all creative output is consistent with the brand’s voice, tone, and visual identity. Maintain brand integrity across various marketing channels while adapting the message and format to fit the medium.
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Growth teams to ensure that creative content supports strategic initiatives, product launches, and growth objectives.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze campaign performance, track KPIs, and optimize creative efforts to improve engagement, conversion, and retention. Implement a test-and-learn approach to continuously refine creative strategies.
- Content Creation & Direction: Oversee the production of various content forms including digital ads, social media content, email campaigns, landing pages, explainer videos, and more. Provide direction for video shoots, design work, and writing.
- Trend Spotting: Stay ahead of industry trends in digital marketing and creative technologies. Continuously bring fresh and innovative ideas that can give Interview Kickstart a competitive edge.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in creative direction. At least 3 years of experience preferably in a tech, education, or startup environment.
- Proven track record in managing and executing high-impact digital campaigns across YouTube, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and other key marketing channels.
- Strong leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire creative teams.
Skills:
- Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to transform abstract ideas into actionable, visually compelling concepts.
- Expertise in digital content creation, including video, graphics, copywriting, and design.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing and analytics, with the ability to measure and optimize creative performance across various digital platforms.
- Expertise in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), and project management tools (Asana, Trello, etc.).
