Data Migration Specialist - SAP BW

We are looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to support one of our Greek customers in their migration from SAP BW to an open-source data stack. This is a technical, execution-focused role, ideal for someone with strong expertise in data migration, ETL, and open-source data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the data extraction, transformation, and migration from SAP BW to an open-source environment
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for the new platform
• Optimize data structures, performance, and integration with other systems
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams to ensure a smooth transition
• Troubleshoot and resolve data migration challenges

• Strong expertise in SAP BW data modeling, extraction, and reporting
• Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and data migration
• Proficiency in open-source data solutions (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, Airflow, etc.)
• Solid knowledge of SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
