Graphic Designer

We are searching for a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team and support the creation, design, and management of digital content across various platforms, including social media and the company website. This junior role offers an excellent opportunity to develop design skills, with room for growth in branding and digital design. Comprehensive training and development will be provided.

Reports to: Marketing and IT Manager

Location: Stikland, Cape Town

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00-16:30 (Full-time)

Salary: Market-related and commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Design

• Design engaging, on-brand graphics, logos, videos, and multimedia assets.
• Create visuals for social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, website updates, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand guidelines and supports overall branding efforts.
• Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.) to develop creative assets and designs.

Social Media Content Management

• Design and schedule visually compelling content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Maintain visual consistency and uphold the company’s brand image in all social media content.
• Respond to comments and messages, ensuring a consistent brand tone and voice.

Website Content Support

• Create and upload website graphics, banners, and product images.
• Ensure website visuals are optimized for user experience and align with branding.

Brand-Building & Multimedia Design

• Contribute to the development of the company’s brand identity through consistent, high-quality design work.
• Assist in the creation of multimedia content (short videos, GIFs, animations) for branding and promotional purposes.
• Support affiliate marketing campaigns by designing promotional banners and assets.

Administrative Support

• Prepare and organize design templates for social media, website, and marketing campaigns.
• Assist in coordinating design-related aspects of marketing campaigns and events.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Education

• Matric certificate (High school diploma) is essential.
• A diploma or certification in graphic design, multimedia, digital content creation, or a related field is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.) for designing graphics and logos.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite).
• Basic understanding of multimedia creation (videos, GIFs, animations).
• Knowledge of SEO principles and affiliate marketing practices is beneficial.
• Familiarity with website platforms like WordPress (Woocommerce) is advantageous.
• Basic copywriting skills to support content creation.
