Junior Web Designer at Jarilo Design

Position Overview

Jarilo Design, a Wirral-based web design and marketing team, is seeking a talented graphic / web designer to create custom branding, website templates, and eBay / Amazon designs. You will join a well-established web design agency with a strong client base, exciting brands and excellent reputation.

Key Responsibilities

·      Create professional graphics and storefront designs for eBay and Amazon

·      Design comprehensive brand identities across digital and print platforms

·      Craft logos, business cards, leaflets, and marketing materials

·      Work directly with clients to understand their business values and design needs

·      Work with developers to create assets for WordPress and Shopify websites.

·      Work both on in-house and client social media campaigns

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience in a web design role
• Strong proficiency in either WordPress or Shopify
• Strong Proficiency in modern HTML and CSS
• Strong Design awareness
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles
• Commercial awareness of best UX and SEO practices.

Desired Skills

• MySQL, PHP, JQuery, JavaScript
• Modern JS / PHP Frameworks (React, Vue, Next JS, Laravel etc)
• Experience with Shopify’s liquid mark-up language
• Knowledge of hosting, cPanel
• Experience with any Wordpress Page Builders

Preferred Skills

·      Proficiency in Adobe XD or Figma

·      Moderate experience in HTML and CSS
