We are a leading municipal swap advisory firm, based in New York City, focusing on derivatives, capital markets, and structured products.  We advise debt issuers and borrowers – primarily public entities (states, cities, municipalities), 501(c)3 organizations – on hedging debt/liabilities or other interest rate and commodities risk exposure.  MG LLC has been in operation since 2008 and counts among its clients some of the largest and most sophisticated public entities.  We offer a wide range of advisory services: analysis, structuring and execution of interest rates and commodities hedging; derivatives portfolio monitoring and reporting, capital markets advice related to debt structures such as bonds, letters of credit, direct loans. 

The two principals of the firm have extensive experience working at and running these types of businesses at major Wall Street firms. They work directly with the junior people at the firm, which provides a great opportunity for learning and professional development.

Position Description

  • Maintain the company’s certifications related to Minority and Women Owned business registrations with various states and states entities, and filing of required reports.
  • Assist the company’s Chief Compliance Office with filling related to MSRB, SEC and NFA registrations.
  • Support with the company’s operations such as tracking and maintenance of insurance policies.
  • Maintain and update databases and records related to the company’s operations.
  • Preparation and delivery of client reports.
  • Research and gathering of information for projects. Support team members with data preparation and analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations.
  • Provide general administrative support and handle special projects and assignments as needed.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated individuals, willing to learn.  The position requires attention to details but also ability to connect the dots and see the big picture.  The candidate should be comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial firm and should work well independently and in a team.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Prior work experience in administrative/client services role is a plus
