Content Lead, Social

KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), is the world’s leading travel search engine. With billions of queries across our platforms, we help people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car and vacation package. We’re also transforming business travel with a new corporate travel solution, KAYAK for Business.

As an employee of KAYAK, you will be part of a travel company that operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights and HotelsCombined, among others. From start-up to industry leader, innovation is in our DNA and every employee has an opportunity to make their mark. Our focus is on building the best travel search engine to make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Content Lead to join KAYAK's North America marketing team! This is an exciting opportunity to help transform KAYAK's social media presence and drive real business impact. You will supervise content creation at scale to drive audience engagement and cultivate a community of fans.

In a world where brands are vying for people’s attention, you live on the For You Page and have a deep understanding of what it takes to cut through. You are hardworking and have a consistent track record of making content that people share. This position is instrumental in helping KAYAK find engaging, entertaining and clever ways to reach and resonate with travelers — making them smarter and making them laugh.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of critical thinking and creativity, using channel and audience insights to drive impactful recommendations. Collaborating closely with our influencer and paid social teams, this role requires strong organizational mastery and a willingness to experiment and iterate quickly.

This role reports to the Director of Brand and is a hybrid position based in Connecticut or New York.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the implementation of social content strategy, to deliver against marketing and business objectives

  • Leverage insights via social listening and audience engagement to develop fresh, innovative ideas
  • Uplevel social content execution, setting a commitment for creative excellence
  • Implement new processes and ways of working to scale KAYAK’s organic social presence across key channels
  • Leverage KAYAK’s distinct tone of voice and adapt it appropriately across different channels
  • Keep the broader marketing team updated on relevant news, trends and emerging platforms
  • Partner closely with Paid Social and Influencer teams to align collective efforts with KAYAK’s brand strategy and vision
  • Lead monthly reporting and analytics to measure progress and optimize future content decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to develop out of the box, social first campaigns

Please apply if:

  • 7+ years of validated experience in social media at a major brand or creator account.
  • Proven track record to develop unexpected and effective content ideas that get people talking
  • A strong, diverse portfolio of high performing social media work
  • A constant pulse on culture, trends, and using social media to fuel conversation
  • Demonstrated ability to use audience and channel insights to deliver compelling content
  • Passionate and effective storyteller that can easily adapt ideas across social channels
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a quick wit
  • Deep familiarity with in-app creator tools across social platforms and knowledge of video production tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Experienced team manager, with a focus on encouraging growth and upskilling junior team members

Benefits

  • Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year
  • Focus on mental health and well-being:
  • Company-paid therapy sessions through SpringHealth
  • Company-paid subscription to HeadSpace
  • Company-wide week off a year - the whole team fully recharges (and returns without a pile-up of work!)
  • No meeting Fridays
