Procurement Specialist I

Activities include processing requisitions for goods and services, interfacing with vendors regarding pricing and terms of purchase/service, placing orders, and maintaining additional documentation related to the site’s business operations as requested.

In this role, we will rely on you to:
  • Performs research and assists in sourcing goods /services, including vendors, costs, and availability.
  • Responsible for enforcing controls (financial and safety control related) around the purchase requisition process, per company policy. 
  • Responsible for full-cycle order placement from inception with the vendor through internal receipt of goods and accounting into company systems. 
  • Processes goods returns and provides necessary purchasing documents for instruments to be shipped off-site by Metrology or other technical personnel for service/repair.
  • Maintains vendor files in relation to purchasing, as required


To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
  • 1+ years related experience. ·  
  • Thorough knowledge of account and file maintenance.·  
  • Strong understanding of purchasing procedures.·  
  • Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft office suite applications, specifically Microsoft Excel.·  
  • Good understanding of basic accounting controls.·  
  • Excellent computer skills and system knowledge.
