Our client is a well-established company with 50 years of experience specializing in designing, manufacturing, and installing automated conveyor systems for distribution centers and retail stores. They create tailor-made conveyor solutions based on customer needs and serve clients primarily in the USA and Canada, with a global customer base.

Responsibilities

The Solution Sales Representative is primarily responsible for generating and managing a sales funnel, engaging with both new prospects and assigned target customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the company's automated solutions and their application in the garment industry. The Solution Sales Representative will play a crucial role in demonstrating the ROI and operational benefits of solutions, customizing offerings to meet customer needs, and closing sales.

  • Sales Generation: Proactively generate leads and build a robust sales funnel through networking, cold calling, and other sales techniques.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with both new prospects and assigned target customers to understand their needs and present appropriate solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical knowledge and support for products and solutions.
  • Solution Customization: Work closely with customers to understand their specific needs and customize solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Sales Support: Assist in technical presentations, product demonstrations, and answering technical questions from prospects and customers.
  • ROI Analysis: Conduct ROI calculations and develop materials that clearly articulate the financial and operational benefits of products.
  • Customer Feedback: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand their pain points, and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to stay updated on product advancements and ensure accurate technical information is provided to customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the warehouse robotics or automation industry. Experience in solutions-based selling is an asset.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, build a sales funnel, and close sales. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers, understand their needs, and deliver exceptional service. Proven active listening skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of warehouse robotics, automation systems, and ROI analysis. Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset. Compensation includes an important portion based on overall team results and contributing to team needs.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as required.
  • Deep understanding of technical products and their applications.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product development.
