Position Overview:
KIPP St. Louis is seeking a dynamic, people-centered Student Recruitment Outreach Specialist to serve as a key ambassador for our network of schools. Reporting to the Director of Student Enrollment and Recruitment, this role focuses on building relationships and driving student enrollment from communities beyond our school campuses.
You’ll work directly with families, attend community events, and promote the mission and values of KIPP St. Louis. If you’re energized by connecting with people, passionate about education, and ready to make a measurable impact in the lives of children, we want to meet you.
This position requires regular travel throughout St. Louis to schools, the regional office, and various community events.

KIPP St. Louis currently educates over 2,000 students and at full growth, we will educate nearly 3,600 students and hundreds of alumni. Today, our St. Louis network consists of two middle schools, three elementary schools, and a high school.

What you can expect to do..
Student Recruitment Outreach Specialist
Develop and execute strategies to recruit students from beyond our immediate neighborhoods. Representing KIPP at local events, fairs, and meetings
Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, daycares, and civic groups
Family Engagement
Connect with prospective families via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings
Host and support school tours, open houses, and info sessions
Guide families through the application process and serve as a consistent point of contact
Lead Generation & Management
Track and nurture prospective family leads using recruitment tools or CRM software
Follow up regularly to answer questions and support application completion
Team Collaboration
Coordinate with school leaders to understand each school’s unique strengths and programs
Share insights and feedback to continuously refine recruitment strategy
Recruitment Campaigns & Events
Assist with planning and attending recruitment events, including evenings and weekends
Ensure messaging aligns with KIPP’s mission and values
Demonstrate a Growth Mindset
Pursue challenging professional goals each year
Give and receive positive and constructive feedback from your colleagues
Participate in school-wide and individual professional development
Other Essential Functions
Performs other duties relative to the overall operations of KIPP St. Louis Public Schools as assigned

What you bring to the table:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Experience in recruitment, sales, or community engagement
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Tech-savvy; comfortable using CRM systems and Google Workspace
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Experience in K-12 education, especially charter school
Event planning and lead generation experience
Physical Demands/Mental Demands/Environmental Factors
Frequently positions self to interact with students
Must be able to observe students inside the classroom and school building, as well as outside
Daily operation of a computer and office equipment
Occasional moderate lifting
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Frequent prolonged and irregular hours of duty
Maintain emotional control under stress
Interprets policy, procedures and data
Occasionally endure inclement weather conditions to provide for student safety
