About the team and what we’ll build together

As a Senior Project Manager within our Project Management Office (PMO), you will lead and oversee client-facing IT integration projects from inception to completion with FI clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, on time, and within budget while exceeding client expectations. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive cross-functional teams towards project success.

How you will make an impact

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Lead the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business requirements.
  • Drive the execution of project activities, managing resources, tasks, and deliverables to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships to understand their needs, expectations, and concerns.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and negotiate scope changes as necessary to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, guidance, and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting communication, teamwork, and accountability to achieve project goals.
    • Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure the quality of project deliverables meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
    • Proactively identify and assess project risks and issues, developing and implementing risk mitigation and contingency plans as needed.
    • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to monitor compliance with project management processes and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the project management function.
    • Lead lessons learned sessions at the conclusion of projects to capture key insights and best practices for future initiatives.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of project management methodologies, tools, and templates.

 

What you need to be successful

  • 5-7+ years of PM experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong expertise in leading and managing large-scale projects with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
  • Experience managing projects at a software development company
  • Expertise in project management using various methodologies (ex. Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with systems integration
  • Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure
  • Experience managing the project life cycle with tools like; Jira, Workfront, Microsoft Project
  • The ability to prioritize (and reprioritize) tasks across many concurrent efforts
  • Attention to detail – ability to capture those tasks that everyone assumes will be completed, that might otherwise slip through the cracks
  • Unafraid to make mistakes, learn from them, and avoid making them again
  • An honest, enthusiastic, and positive person!
