The Job

Koombea is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure software quality through manual and automation testing. You’ll identify and report bugs, suggest improvements, and validate every feature to guarantee a smooth go-live. Your role includes creating and executing test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining quality standards, and approve releases to production throughout the SDLC.

• Review requirements, estimate tasks, and ensure testing aligns with project goals.
• Conduct functional, end-to-end, and regression testing to uncover defects.
• Create QA reports highlighting results, risks, and concerns.
• Support teams in identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Help with API and web service testing

• 3+ years in functional and automation testing with end-to-end project experience.
• Proficiency in mobile automation frameworks (Desirable: Appium).
• Familiarity with tools: Android Studio, Xcode, Selenium, Postman, GitHub, PostgreSQL (desirable), and Figma.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP requests.
• Performance testing (e.g., JMeter) - Desirable not mandatory.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall and defect management tools.
• Automation expertise is mandatory.
