About Us:

Kraken Tech is a pioneering company within Octopus Energy Group (OEG), globally licensing the Kraken platform and operating model to revolutionise businesses. With a strong foothold in OEG businesses worldwide and through external clients, we’re expanding our footprint and this role is critical to that firsthand expansion.


Your Mission:

Members of the Kraken Tech team need to be shining examples of the Kraken way and believe in decision-making based on simplicity, customer benefit and efficiency. As a Senior Client Implementation Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding our clients through the intricacies of the Kraken Operating Model, building their understanding, and empowering them to operate effectively. From initial pre-build conversations to the transfer phase, your leadership will set the foundation for success.


Key skills:
  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Communicate independently with senior stakeholders, and help them build a strong understanding of the operating model and its impact on the organisation.  
  • Lead sales pitches and be crucially involved in the initial client conversations to define the model and what Kraken can offer. 
  • Orchestrate strategic changes at a high-level based on feedback to support the team and client.  
  • Instill confidence in the ways of working, showcasing Kraken’s credibility and trustworthiness.  
  • Define a clear roadmap for Kraken teams and BOT lead phase-out.  
  • Drive the client’s migration delivery to an S-curve
  • Client Enablement:
  • Work within the client to demonstrate tasks and platform usage.  
  • Set up a business structure as a foundation for scale and innovation.  
  • Identify where a client is on their maturity journey, considering appetite and capability for change and ensure they feel ownership in adapting their journey  
  • Define a clear agreement for transitioning to the next phase.  
  • Influence client leadership appointment discussions.
  • Operational Setup:
  • Set up key operational processes within the client, including scheduling, skills academy, and functional processes like billing.  
  • Deliver and deliver leadership development programs and skills academy training.
  • Curiosity and Initiative:
  • Have a focus on detail, a passion for self-learning, and a willingness to experiment.
  • Be curious in helping clients visualise their pain-points and commit to working with them to overcome it. 
  • Influence and Relationship-building:
  • Proactively observe the client planning and problem-solving within the model's principles.  
  • Utilise strong influencing skills to drive change, especially with resistant stakeholders and bad practices.  
  • Build trustworthy relationships rapidly, pushing clients and your team to create positive transformations.
  • Problem Solving and Mediation:
  • Provide psychological safety, encouragement, and coaching to empower both the client and the internal team to solve problems.  
  • Take charge in any situation and be trusted to mediate issues and strategically solve problems, anticipating future limitations.  
  • Manage senior stakeholders and implement delivery strategies across multiple topics with trust and confidence.
  • Using Data:
  • Consistently use data to support the vision and increase efficiency within the team.  
  • Analyse reports on Tableau to provide insights on performance.  
  • Utilise Excel and collaborate with the data team for impactful results. 
  • Actively planning for the future and thinking of the big picture around topics such as resourcing, delivery timelines and success measures.

  • Lead by example with the best practices and key behavioural principles to clients, emphasising their positive impact on both the organisation and its people.
  • Embrace internal movement, travel, and adaptability to changing strategies.
  • Recruitment:
  • Be an important part of the process planning discussions
  • Identify the best talent with a lens on reducing bias and championing diversity. Be a key part of the client recruitment transformation!
  • Coaching & Mentoring:
  • Thrive in a 1:1 setting working on development of senior client leaders and your team-members. 
  • Provide bespoke advice and coaching to push clients to the next level.
  • Leadership Development:
  • Be involved in high-level group programs focussing on Influential Management, Assertive Communication and Principled Decision-making among many others sections!

  • We hire a wide range of experience levels into our delivery teams. The salary range for this role in NYC ranges on average from $70,000-$200,000 (with some flexibility) depending on relevant experience, role alignment, and client management expertise demonstrated throughout the interview process. While the broad salary range is listed, not all candidates will be placed at the top of the range—this will be determined by the overall fit for the position.
