Finance Associate

What We’re Looking For:
We’re on the hunt for a Finance Associate to join our dynamic team! If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves working with numbers to drive business decisions, this is the role for you. You’ll be the right-hand partner to our Group Finance Manager, helping us manage and analyse our finances with accuracy, precision, and a bit of flair.

What You’ll Be Doing:
We’re after someone who lives and breathes process and enjoys getting into the details of management accounts. You’ll work alongside various teams in the business, including billing, client services, and candidate care, ensuring that accounts are generated accurately and on time. You’ll also collaborate with the business insights team, making sure that the data we use helps drive smart, informed decisions. And, of course, you’ll be a key player in continuously improving our processes, ensuring we’re always working smarter, not harder.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:

  • Manage supplier invoices and approvals with ease
  • Handle contractor and supplier payments, resolving any queries
  • Keep our accounts payable ledger on track with supplier statement reconciliations
  • Oversee credit card processes and staff expenses

Financial and Transactional Accounting:

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and keep things ticking over
  • Assist with weekly cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
  • Handle cost accruals and prepayment accounting seamlessly
  • Reconcile data across various systems to ensure accuracy
  • Tackle any ad-hoc tasks with a positive, proactive attitude

Transactional Finance Excellence:

  • Share best practices across the finance team to improve processes
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams to deliver top-notch service
  • Identify areas for improvement in controls and processes
  • Build strong relationships and add value wherever you can

What We’re Looking For in You:

Background:

  • AAT-qualified (minimum).
  • Actively pursuing or interested in studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Some prior experience in basic management accounting, including:
  • Accounts payable
  • Balance sheets
  • Fixed assets
