We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented professional with entrepreneurial spirit to join our company! This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified candidate to join a rapidly growing company focused on turning today’s cutting-edge research into tomorrow’s breakthrough therapies.
The ideal candidate will manage all areas of finance, accounting and procurement, and will have experience building a team and developing processes. This individual provides overall accounting oversight and tax guidance to the Company. This role will report to the CEO and sit on the senior leadership team at Landmark Bio.
Responsibilities
· Manages the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, revenue recognition, technical accounting for complex transactions, supporting schedules and footnotes. Oversees preparation of all required tax filings and audited financial statements.
· Manages all disbursements and collections functions, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit and collection.
· Working with the Chief Financial Officer, oversees all aspects of the relationship with external auditors and audit committee, including the annual audit, and any required special project work.
· Leads tax compliance with outside advisors and supports tax planning and strategy, as needed.
· Develops and implements internal control policies and procedures to comply with external requirements and senior management objectives.
· Supports continued improvement and modifications of ERP and ensures scalable solutions are put in place across Finance & Accounting.
· Assists with talent recruitment and leads a highly motivated, efficient, and effective team. Creates a talent management plan to address individual performance needs; establishes a team succession plan.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum 10 years progressive experience in financial and accounting leadership roles.
· Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to evaluate and mentor people, recruit and retain high-level talent.
· Experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry, in a financial capacity.
· Strong technical accounting and tax experience.
· Technical accounting and operational expertise.
· Experience overseeing accounting in a business with international sales and operations preferred.
· Prior accounting and financial systems evaluation and implementation preferred.
· MS Office Suite proficient.
· CPA preferred.
· Proven ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- SAP experience preferred.
