Lightedge Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our team. This role will involve collaborating with our Network Security professionals in the Operations department to oversee and maintain our multi-region US based datacenter network including supporting facilities in Singapore, and Amsterdam. Key responsibilities include the continuous maintenance of network and datacenter security infrastructure to ensure alignment with our established service levels, with a particular emphasis on firewalls. The Network Security Engineer will be part of the Network Security Operations team and collaborate closely with the Compliance Organization and other Operational teams.
Additionally, this role will involve assisting customer support in resolving incident and problem tickets that are escalated to Engineering.

Responsibilities:- Network Planning & Management
- Participates in the implementation, testing, and documentation of enterprise wide network security solutions and standards.
- Monitor the security of the organization’s network from threats originating from inside and outside the organization.
- Configure and install firewalls and other network security systems.
- Manage firewall and intrusion detection systems policies.
- Assist in the investigation of intrusion incidents, forensic investigations, and incident response.
- Network Support –
- Provide troubleshooting support for critical network security issues
- Firewall configuration, syslog review, security event log review
- Monitor and manage the following systems to ensure security services throughout the network are running optimally.
- Configuration, Implementation, and Management of NextGen Firewalls, including primarily products from Fortinet and Palo Alto
- Configuration, and Management of central firewall management systems, Fortimanager and Panorama
- Network Analysis
- Knowledge and experience with use of the following tools to provide feedback and analysis for the security of the enterprise network.
- Enterprise Networking, WAN Technologies, and Protocols
- Security Frameworks, Perimeter Defense Models, and Protocols
- Deploying security policies and procedures while working within established Compliance policies to serve customers from a variety of fields.

- Associate’s Degree in IT or related industry experience
- Advanced industry specific training and certification preferred.
- 2+ years experience in Network Security Engineering/Administration
- Direct experience in firewall administration from various vendors, Fortinet/Palo Alto experience preferred
- Solid understanding of network routing and switching as it applies to firewalls
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
- Excellent telephone and personal customer service skills required
- Ability to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with customers in written communication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to multi-task and operate with general supervision, adjusting priorities accordingly
- Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
- Experience troubleshooting applications and network issues using a network protocol analyzer
- Vendor certifications preferred but not required; NSE4/5, FCP, PCNSA, PCNSE
