Support Technician - IT

Lipman Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and proactive Support Technician to join our IT team. As a leading construction company with over 55 years of experience, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional projects. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing technical support to our staff across various projects.

The Support Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting users with their IT needs, and maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with team members to implement technology solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency within the Lipman & Bennett businesses.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Assist in the setup and configuration of computers and peripherals
• Maintain and monitor IT inventory and assets
• Document and track IT support activities and resolutions
• Collaborate with IT team members on ongoing projects and system upgrades
• Train staff on new technology and software as needed

• A minimum 5 years’ experience in the IT industry
• Preferably a tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in IT support or a similar role
• Strong understanding of computer systems and networks
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus
