We are seeking a Staff Technical Project Manager (PWT) to oversee and align multiple technical projects with business objectives of PWT, ensuring efficient execution and coordination across the team. This role involves managing a team of around six TPMs, providing leadership, strategic alignment, and support to ensure all projects are progressing according to company goals.

The Staff TPM will act as the key liaison between upper management and the TPMs, ensuring seamless communication, prioritization of projects, and alignment with business needs. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and technical project management skills to maintain operational efficiency, streamline reporting, and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Additionally, the Staff TPM will be responsible for maintaining project oversight, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring that risks, roadblocks, and priorities are effectively managed at a higher level. This role plays a crucial part in defining project strategies and ensuring that company-wide initiatives are executed effectively.

 

You Will: 

  • Oversee and manage a team of around six Technical Program Managers (TPMs), ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance, support, and mentorship to TPMs, enabling them to successfully execute their projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between upper management and the TPM team, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Track and monitor the progress of multiple projects, ensuring they align with business priorities and operational goals.
  • Facilitate project prioritization, balancing resources across multiple initiatives to optimize execution efficiency.
  • Identify potential project risks and roadblocks early and collaborate with TPMs and stakeholders to develop effective mitigation plans.
  • Ensure standardized project reporting, using Jira, Atlassian tools, and Smartsheet for tracking and communication.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives, operational efficiency improvements, and scrap reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, Operational Excellence (OPEX) teams, and other cross-functional groups to streamline processes and drive improvements.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to senior management, providing insights on project statuses, challenges, and overall program performance.

You Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7-12 years of experience in technical program/project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience leading multiple technical projects and managing a team of program managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to align multiple projects with business strategies and operational goals.
  • Experience managing teams and fostering professional development among direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira, Atlassian tools, and Smartsheet for project tracking, reporting, and Gantt chart management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in KPI tracking and data-driven decision-making.
