This role represents a critical next step in MEI’s evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike and building out development pipelines to finance renewable energy projects with our partners.
The Project Management Administrator role at MEI provides support to our Project Management team in delivering distributed renewable energy projects within one of the United States' fastest-growing energy industries. This role will focus on providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth execution of projects. The PM Administrator will work closely with designated Project Managers and the wider Operations team, playing a critical role in the coordination and documentation of multiple projects through their design, construction and closeout phases. These projects vary in size and complexity, encompassing everything from smaller rooftops to expansive ground-mounted solar PV and/or battery energy storage systems spanning the nation. What You’ll Be Doing:- Document Control: Maintaining and managing all project-related documents, including contracts, permits, reports, and compliance documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Project Tracking: Assisting in tracking project milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management systems such as MEI’s project portal “MESH.” Ensure that projects are properly onboarded and regularly updated with current project data.
- Reporting: Preparing status reports as requested for the Operations team, highlighting key project updates, risks, and progress.
- Budgeting / Forecasting: Helping with tracking project budgets by reviewing invoices, processing payments, and assisting in procurement as directed. Utilize MESH for long-term cost forecasting.
- Compliance Monitoring: Supporting the Project Manager in ensuring project compliance in aspects including Data Acquisition System registration, regulatory (FERC, EIA, OSHA), general site safety, renewable energy credits, etc.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Assisting in coordinating communication between project stakeholders, including subcontractors, vendors, clients (PPA, Lease), MEI finance, and independent engineers.
- Ensuring full completion of all assigned projects in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Actively participating in resolution of project issues related to schedule, construction, finance, external stakeholders, etc.
What We Are Looking For:- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Construction, Project Management).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an administrative or project coordination role, preferably in construction, engineering, or energy sectors.
- Strong organizational abilities with a high attention to detail, and ability to both work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledgeable of project documentation best practices and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prefer experience with project management software and tools.
- Prefer familiarity with use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance productivity.
$90,000 - $120,000 a year
The actual salary offered may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience and location.
