Social Media Manager
(12 months fixed term contract)
Maker Lab is looking for a dynamic individual to join an exciting project we’ve embarked on with our technology client. Our client's brand is complex and innovative and paving the way for creative avenues to revolutionise the tech industry in unconventional ways.
As a Social Media Manager, you'll collaborate across departments, devising and implementing compelling social media and influencer campaigns that resonate with our diverse audience. You're a data-driven problem solver, a social media innovator, and a master of performance analysis, ensuring our social platforms drive meaningful connections.
You excel in a collaborative setting, generating cutting-edge ideas based on the latest social media trends, and working closely with creative teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Role:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies, in partnership with leadership, that are aligned with business objectives and marketing goals.
- Identify and define key audience segments, creating tailored content strategies to maximise engagement across various social platforms.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of industry trends and competitor activities, using insights to inform strategic social media planning and innovation.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, creative, PR) to support integrated social media campaigns and initiatives.
- Collaborate with external agency partners to ensure exceptional strategy and execution across all social media channels.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with influencers and partners through agency collaboration, to expand campaign reach and engagement.
- Conduct regular reviews of social media performance metrics, generating detailed reports to assess campaign effectiveness and inform future social media strategies.
- Produce monthly social media health analyses, identifying areas for improvement and measuring overall success.
- Oversee agency-led competitive analysis, implementing data-driven optimisations to refine social media efforts.
- Lead post-campaign reviews, in collaboration with agencies, to analyse social media performance and derive actionable insights.
You:
- 8+ years of experience in developing and executing high-impact social media and influencer campaigns, ideally within a rapidly evolving digital environment.
- A meticulous portfolio demonstrating your ability to create and analyse compelling social media content and campaigns.
- A deep understanding of social media metrics and the ability to translate data into strategic social media recommendations, acting as a key social media advocate.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex social media strategies clearly and persuasively.
- A strong collaborator, adept at working effectively with cross-functional teams and external agency partners.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage social media timelines and deliverables independently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced social media landscape, generating innovative social media ideas.
- Experience in cultivating influencer relationships and managing social media agency partnerships.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
