WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Are you ready to contribute your expertise to implement policies and procedures necessary to incorporate available learning technologies into the US Federal Trade Commission’s training programs? TechSilo is looking for a Cornerstone Certified Administrator to join our team and take charge of the Federal Trade Commission's Learning Management System, which is known as eTrain2. In this position, you’ll manage and maintain the FTC’s LMS infrastructure, ensuring it meets the agency’s training and regulatory requirements while providing problem-solving expertise and guidance on legal frameworks to FTC leadership. Whether you’re experienced in learning technologies or looking to deepen your expertise, you’ll be working on projects that make a difference. This is a full-time role, available upon award which is expected late March 2025.
On a given day, you will spend time:
Overseeing all aspects of LMS operation, including system monitoring, performance management, and user support.
Configuring system settings, permissions, roles, and hierarchies to meet organizational needs.
Managing content delivery across the LMS and ensuring it aligns with training standards and compliance requirements.
Building learning paths and certifications, as well as managing compliance training.
Troubleshooting and resolving LMS issues, including collaborating with vendors to address escalated problems and course content challenges.
Developing and maintaining system documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and training materials.
Conducting training sessions for users, administrators, and course designers on LMS functionality.
Generating and analyzing custom reports on user activity, course completion, compliance, and training effectiveness to provide data-driven insights for workforce development.
Collaborating with instructional designers and technologists to implement innovative learning solutions and system optimizations.
Ensuring timely updates, patches, and upgrades to the LMS platform in collaboration with the vendor.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct regular health checks on system configurations and implement necessary updates to optimize performance.
Design and develop content pages for agency-wide training initiatives, including supervisor development training and FTC University.
Optimize system functionality by creating content playlists and improving search capabilities.
Manage and maintain the LMS course asset library, including course revisions and history tracking.
Monitor monthly system releases and deploy updates to maintain functionality.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Cornerstone Certified Administrator certification (required).
Knowledge of FTC processes is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
Three years of professional experience as an LMS administrator, preferably within the government sector.
Strong problem-solving skills, including experience troubleshooting system functionality, technical issues, and course content.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with data analysis and generating custom reports.
Proven ability to configure system settings, manage user accounts, and maintain learning structures.
Strong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and vendors.
