The Asset Protection Specialist is tasked with protecting all KV physical assets and representing KV in daily Team Member/Visitor/Contractor/Customer interactions. The Asset Protection Specialist will work closely with other departments, including Health and Safety, Environmental, and Human Resources, to ensure the Asset Protection Department meets organizational standards and adheres to compliance-based processes and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide a safe and secure environment for Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors.
• As a forward-facing representative of Kennedy Valve, provide high quality customer service to everyone.
• Direct all incoming telephone calls to the proper department.
• Work with other departments to ensure asset-related processes and procedures are adhered to.
• Communicate with all Team Members, Visitors, and Contractors to resolve any potential conflicts.
• Monitor and track all safety and environmental-related alarms and make timely notifications when alarms are triggered.
• Act as a First Responder when needed and assist in coordinating emergency response when required.
• Track and log waste shipments in and out of the facility.
• Collect, sign, and distribute delivery/service truck materials paperwork.
• Conduct routine rounds throughout the facility and grounds, monitoring for environmental and safety-related emergencies.
• Monitor physical security system and other safety equipment.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; applicable certification preferred.
• Previous experience in Asset Protection, Security, or other related field, 1-3 years preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; professional in appearance and presentation; able to deal with stress and potential conflict situations.
• Strong attention to detail; excellent organizational and communication skills; and strong written/verbal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other Team Members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and embraces a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Must be able and willing to work rotating shift hours if needed, though rarely occurs.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and always follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
• Work time is spent on the manufacturing floor and in a managerial office.
• Potential for overtime and weekend coverage depending on project or emergencies.
• Minimal travel requirements to other McWane facilities and suppliers, attending training, and professional development opportunities.
• Must be able/willing to drive a powered industrial vehicle.
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
