Role Summary:

The Deputy Project Director for Messe Muenchen India will take on a pivotal role in the execution, planning, and overall management of trade fairs focused on the games and entertainment sector. This position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in event management, coupled with a robust understanding of the entertainment industry dynamics. The successful candidate will support the Project Director in driving project goals, enhancing attendee experience, and ensuring successful collaborations within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the strategic planning and management of trade fairs within the category, ensuring that the objectives align with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including exhibitors, sponsors, and partners to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely deliverables and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Oversee the logistical arrangements for events, including venue selection, setup, branding, and on-site operations.
  • Implement innovative marketing and promotional strategies to drive participation and attendance to trade fairs.
  • Analyze attendee feedback and market trends to enhance future events and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, ensuring consistent engagement and collaboration before, during, and after the events.
  • Monitor project performance using KPIs, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to meet objectives.
  • Support the Project Director in making data-driven decisions to drive improvements and innovations in event execution.
  • Lead a team of operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in project management or event management, .
  • Proven track record in successfully executing large-scale trade fairs and events.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical mindset, able to assess data and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
