MetalBear is an innovative seed-stage startup revolutionizing how tech companies deploy their code, backed by leading investors and already trusted by major enterprises. Our exceptional team is rapidly scaling, and we're now looking for a driven and ambitious Account Executive to join us as our first sales hire, handling predominantly inbound leads.

About the role

As our Founding Account Executive, you'll primarily manage inbound leads (around 80%)—hot prospects ready to engage—while also proactively pursuing outbound opportunities with targeted enterprise accounts (20%). You'll quickly grow into the role, developing into a senior AE or sales leader based on performance. This role is perfect for a high-performing AE skilled at inbound sales or a driven SDR eager to rapidly advance their career.

What you’ll do:

  • Handle high-volume inbound leads, qualifying prospects and driving them to close
  • Strategically manage multiple stakeholders within accounts(account mapping) leveraging strong discovery and negotiation skills
  • Proactively perform targeted outbound outreach to enterprise accounts to generate new opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to refine and scale our sales processes
  • Consistently exceed quarterly sales targets through focused, high-quality execution

What you bring:

  • 1-3 years experience as an AE managing inbound sales at a fast-paced tech company or as a high-performing SDR ready to transition to an AE role
  • Proven success hitting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a talent for account mapping and opportunity maximization
  • Familiarity with the tech or SaaS industry and tools - hubspot, sales nav, clay, salesforce
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
