ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of People Operations Specialist is accountable and responsible for driving the people/HR agenda in the region. You will be guiding local teams and providing sound advice and guidance to solve daily HR-related matters. Our People Operations Specialist will be responsible for championing our global and local processes, ensuring any local HR topics are managed in a timely and professional manner. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full employee life cycle and delivering across all areas of HR, enabling local management to build a high-performance culture 
  • Leading the local recruitment as well as onboarding to attract and retain top talent 
  • Working closely with payroll to ensure an accurate payroll process 
  • Establishing and driving effective performance management, reward, and recognition strategies that facilitate, support, and maintain a high-performance culture 
  • Driving organizational change, people development, career development, and compensation processes to support the attraction and retention of key staff 
  • Continuously partnering with the business stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the people's needs and meet competitive goals and expectations 
  • Leading the development and implementation of objectives and initiatives, locally, to offer best-in-class HR Service delivery that is aligned with Group strategy 
  • Effectively partnering with Senior Management team members and other Group stakeholders to design, refine, and implement innovative people strategies/solutions 
  • Ensuring compliance with local labour laws and other regulations and managing sensitive/highly confidential information with the utmost discretion 
  • Acting as an ambassador for our organization’s values; leading the culture and organizational transformation - applying effective change management strategies where required 
  • Self-lead learning, keeping abreast of international best practices at all times, and ensuring consistency to group policy, wherever local labour law doesn't supersede 
  • Continuously seek to identify insights and other factors that may impact the business, identify solutions, and improve/automate current practices to ensure continual improvement 
  • Proven track record operating in a busy HR / People function across multiple areas of HR (i.e. Employee Relations, Engagement, L&D, Talent Acquisition etc.) 
  • Agile, flexible and responsive approach to work 
  • High focus on achievement and results delivery 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills with the ability to engage and motivate others  
  • Persuasive communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to convince, influence and persuasively articulate a value proposition 
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution and a client-centric approach to solution-selling 
  • A proven track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and execution 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and great attention to detail; able to provide meaningful reporting and narrative on market insights  
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems and local Labour Law 
  • Previous experience within a tech environment, startup, rapidly-scaling business and/or in a matrix organisational structure would be a distinct advantage 
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources or a comparable role
