Senior IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise combined with outstanding customer service skills. This role requires a proactive professional who can handle complex technical issues, mentor team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities:

Technical Support & System Administration

• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues
• Provide comprehensive desktop support for Windows environments
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
• Manage and resolve tickets according to SLA requirements
• Support remote workers and maintain VPN infrastructure
• Assist in managing Office 365 environment, including user administration, Exchange Online, and SharePoint
• Maintain system security through patch management and updates
• Manage Active Directory users, groups, and policies
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements

Infrastructure & Project Management

• Assist with and troubleshoot network infrastructure
• Manage hardware lifecycle, including procurement and deployment
• Lead and participate in IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations
• Document technical procedures and maintain IT knowledge base
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers
• Conduct user training sessions and create documentation

• 7+ years of professional IT industry experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead position
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or ITIL)
• Extensive knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft technologies
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, concepts and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated experience with Office 365 administration and cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), Active Directory, VPN and remote access technologies, security best practices and implementation
• Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) preferred
• Experience with IT service management tools and ticketing systems
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
