Junior People Partner

MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair. 

 

Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA Denver, CO, and East Providence, RI

We are looking for a Junior People Partner who is passionate about high quality people experiences, influencing employee engagement and driving a high performance culture. We have a strong people team foundation, and are on a quest to build scalable, high quality people experiences, of which you will be integral to our future.


The role is based in East Providence, RI with a primary focus on US based employee relations, with a focus on our Customer Service & Manufacturing teams. In addition to Employee Relations, this role will support project work across the function and partner with our UK based team members. The role will report directly to the Head of People Partnering, who is based in the US, while supporting the larger People Partner team based in the UK.


Responsibilities
  • Manage Employee Relations issues in the US
  • Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations to be seen as a trusted advisor across our team on US practices
  • Be an impartial ambassador that balances the needs of both the employee and the business in line with our company values
  • Provide advice and assistance to managers on policies, procedures, legislation, and best practice
  • Work closely with the People Partnering team, relaying trends and priority areas observed within functions supporting
  • Support on People Partnering projects, keeping in mind a global focus
  • Build strong, credible relationships at all levels. Our businesses are huge advocates of the People Team and this role would need to immerse itself in getting to know all of our MOOsters
  • Serve as an extension of the People Partner executing agreed People Strategy within business functions
  • Support with the execution of cyclical employee experiences such as annual review cycles, compensation planning, and calibration
  • Work across the People Team collaborating with our HR Operations and Talent Acquisition teams


About You
  • Experienced member of an HR/People Team
  • You have experience handling entry-level employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and performance discussions
  • You bring a positive energy, even in times of adversity and change
  • You have a proven track record and success in executing key People initiatives, you are able to execute quickly, effectively and consistently
  • You have successfully demonstrated results orientated business partnering
  • You are Innovative, proactive, and have a pragmatic solutions based style
  • You are a highly organized, flexible team player with excellent prioritization and strong follow-up skills
  • You are unafraid to roll up your sleeves, this role will require both assisting with development as well as execution
  • You are an effective change agent, unafraid to constructively challenge, give feedback and make recommendations
  • You are a collaborator, this role is part of a close knit team. Supporting each other is a key tenant to how the People Team operates
  • You have a good understanding of US employment law and best practice


Nice to Haves
  • Experience in high volume employee relations (Examples: Customer Service teams, Manufacturing facilities, Call Center, etc)
  • Some fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required
