This position plays a key role in enhancing the HR function in collaboration with the Head of Human Resources. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating engagement, team member satisfaction, HR metrics, compliance, policies, and programs. The role also oversees the management of Leave of Absence, Unemployment and Workers Compensation claims, as well as all employee relations practices, including investigations and legal compliance. This position will adapt as needed to support the company’s growth and organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:- Develops and maintains excellent working relationships with managers and team members and ensures ongoing, in-depth understanding of team member relations and engagement.
- Develops, measures effectiveness, makes recommendations, and spearheads team member engagement initiatives to ensure engaged, high-performing teams.
- Oversees engagement programs and develops recommendations for continued engagement improvement.
- Ensures compliance with all HR-related matters by working with the Head of HR to develop ongoing checklists, processes, and reviews of same.
- Assists with team member relations matters, including managing investigations and legal requirements related to employee relations.
- Manages all Leave of Absence, Unemployment and Workers Compensation claims, ensuring compliance with policies and efficient handling of claims.
- Maintains all employee files in accordance with legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Manages the training, enforcement, and updating of HR policies and Employee Handbook.
- Develops and delivers training for managers on HR policies and compliance.
- Accountable for maintaining updated company job descriptions
- Manages performance review processes.
- In coordination with Head of Human Resources, mentors and coaches HR team to provide further development and alignment opportunities.
- Works with HR team on benefits and total rewards.
- Works in conjunction with Talent Acquisition Team and Marketing Coordinator on social media and internal communications to boost Mosaic recognition externally and team recognition/engagement internally.
- Ensures predictable, reliable, and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work on site and off site.
- Ability to travel as needed and drive to needed locations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while managing high volume of deliverables which may often times create conflict deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university required.
- Minimum of 5 years proven competency in Human Resources.
- Experience and proven competency in implementing successful programs.
- Adaptability and support of change.
- Ability to lead projects of significant complexity.
- HR certification
