JOB OUTLINE
Reporting to the Ontario Sales Manager, the Senior Territory Manager will lead the charge for their territory in the development and execution of an aggressive sales plan within various channels, leveraging and advocating for all Muskoka Brewery brands and build strong community relationships. As a senior role, you will also be accountable for the coaching and development of key territory sales team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing the Territory
- Work closely with the sales leaders and with the tools provided to develop and implement an aggressive territory sales plan, identify key short and long-term volume driving opportunities in both the retail and on-premise sales channels, and take action to achieve defined targets. Retail includes LCBO, The Beer Store, Grocery, and Convenience/Agency. On premise includes Independent Licensees and Chain Accounts.
- Build collaborative partnerships by delivering more value than the competition through superior customer service, responsiveness, promotional support, and true understanding of each channel's business building opportunities.
- Through strong representation of Muskoka Brewery brands, heritage, and culture, self-manage the execution of the territory to demonstrate our commitment to quality and being the best in everything we do.
- Seek out opportunities to leverage marketing and brand building opportunities and cost effectively manage customer relationships and budgets.
- Be a strong team contributor to the overall brewery’s drive for success and growth through sharing of sales wins and insights, marketing opportunities and customer feedback.
- As the community ambassador of our brands, the Senior Territory Manager is required to reside within the heart of the territory.
Coaching a Team
- Leading a small regional Territory Sales team, this role will provide coaching and guidance to their direct team to achieve excellence in plan execution and brand building initiatives in their respective field.
- Work with the Ontario Sales Manager to develop key territory targets and annual objectives; utilize UKG to track an individuals’ objectives, on-going coaching and complete the annual performance review process.
- Support your direct team in generating new leads and developing existing customers, eliminating obstacles and provide lead-by-example guidance on strong execution.
- Support the Ontario Sales Manager in facilitating best practice sales training (the Muskoka Way) and actively participate in quarterly sales team meetings, providing input, assist in action plans and ignite the team through various team building opportunities
- Accountable for training the direct team with on-boarding, in the field training, brand features, and sales plans. Ensure effective utilization of the sales resources and tools. and aid the team by actively problem solving and removing barriers to their success.
- Successful completion of a college or university degree. Specialization in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in growing a territory in the Consumer Package Goods industry, alcohol beverage preferred.
- A true desire to coach and guide a team, previous experience in authentically leading and coaching a high-performing sales team to excellence is an asset.
- Exceptional depth in understanding sales, marketing and overall business principles
- Excellent communicator both verbally and written
- With a mindset of building relationships, the successful candidate will be a strong and down-to-earth communicator (verbal and written).

- Ability to authentically live our Brewery’s values and maintain excellent relationships with fellow team members, industry members and our customers.
- Energetic, motivated, and diligent, this person has the proven ability to manage their time, clients and budgets while striving for continued growth and success in their territory.
- Effectively adapts to new technologies and resources including MS Office, CRM, ERP, and UKG tools.
- Must be eager to learn, to grow, to manage chaos and to create fun. And then want to do it all over again in a way that is uniquely Muskoka.

TRAVEL:
· Residing in the region there is extensive field calls in the territory with a home office base (vehicle/office tools provided).
· Occasional night/weekend work required to attend brewery events and training.
