Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Part-Time Chemist – Environmental Analytical Data Validation in Denver, CO.

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Chemist to perform analytical data validation on environmental samples. This role supports our ongoing projects at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. The position requires less than 10 hours per week, offering flexibility for professionals seeking supplemental work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate environmental laboratory analytical data to ensure compliance with EPA and regional quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) requirements.

• Prepare detailed data validation reports and assist in the preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs).
• Collaborate with project teams to select appropriate analytical methodologies and establish QA/QC parameters.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project-specific requirements.
• Provide chemistry and data management support for site characterization, remediation, and compliance projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental data validation, including familiarity with EPA National Functional Guidelines.
• Proficiency in validating data for organic and inorganic analyses using EPA methods.
• Experience with data management systems and preparing electronic data deliverables.
• Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Stage 2B and Stage 4 data validation.
• Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Energy (DOE) guidelines.

 Compensation: $36.00 - $55.00 per hour
